Our Team

Karen C. Rainey

Karen RaineyKaren Rainey Interiors began in 1998 as Thomas Sanderson Antiques & Accessories, owned by Toby Coleman, who renovated and restored the Commerce Street building.  In 2004, employee Karen Rainey bought the business, and it was renamed Karen Rainey Interiors.  With new ownership came a new focus; aside from being a furniture and accessories store, Karen began using her talents and education from The Southern Institute School of Design and implemented a design branch of the business.  Now the main focus of Karen Rainey Interiors, Karen is sought out by home and business owners all over the southeast to beautify their rooms and buildings.  The showroom remains open Monday through Saturday during regular business hours, but Karen enjoys spending the majority of her time in her workroom, designing floorplans and choosing fabrics, rugs, and custom furniture for traditional homes, beach houses and condominiums, hunting lodges, offices, and more.  Karen has been married to Greenville, Alabama, native Cecil “Tuffy” Rainey since 1991, and they have one grown daughter, Melanie, one grandaughter, “Muffin”, and one grandson, “Tripp”.  Karen and Tuffy reside in Greenville on Fort Dale Road with their three rescue dogs, Brother, Poo, and Bobo, and one cat, Sietta.
